Job summary

Peraton is seeking an insider risk analyst in the United States to detect, evaluate, and mitigate insider threats including data theft, espionage, and workplace violence. You will work with UAM, UBA, SIEM, and DLP to correlate data from multiple sources and support investigations.

The role requires a BS/BA in CS or cybersecurity, the ability to obtain Secret clearance, and strong analytical and interview skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or equivalent degree.
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Understanding of insider risk and counterintelligence concepts including data theft, espionage, fraud, sabotage, unintentional incidents, and workplace violence.
• Familiarity with insider risk detection tech such as UAM, UBA, SIEM, DLP.
• Experience interpreting data and non-technical feeds to uncover anomalies.
• Knowledge of CSOC/NOC style operations for threat monitoring and incident response.
• Ability to conduct open-source intelligence analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to brief senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to develop, monitor, and evolve insider risk detections and identify high risk behavior.
• Correlate data from technical and non-technical sources to enable proactive insider risk detection.
• Provide analytical and investigative support to counterintelligence and risk mitigation efforts.
• Conduct interviews of persons of interest and gather information for investigations.
• Prepare reports with metrics and visualizations to communicate findings, trends, and patterns.
• Develop recommendations to address threats and promote a secure environment.
• Support the insider risk program with training and awareness materials.
• Brief large audiences and senior leaders using metrics and analysis.
