Job summary

Hamamatsu Corporation is seeking a Sr. Inside Account Specialist to manage orders and inventory for a diverse customer base, including Fortune 100 firms and top labs. Base pay ranges from $89,000 to $112,000 with full benefits and relocation considerations as needed.

You will coordinate sales agreements, forecast in ERP, and support large accounts while maintaining strong documentation and cross-functional SOPs. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years of experience in sales, customer service, or material requirements planning (MRP).
• Two or more years of experience with Microsoft CRM, or a comparable CRM platform, and an MRP system.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PowerPoint, VLOOKUP, logic statements, etc.
• HC Technical Group training on HPK components, or completion of related assessments within the required timeframe.
• Ability to travel to customer locations up to 10% of the time.
• Reliable transportation for business-related appointments.
• Ability to create, maintain, and follow established documentation procedures.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales agreement submissions and act on behalf of the Sales Manager to ensure documentation and approvals in the ERP system.
• Partner with Planning Department and Sales Engineers to establish required purchase orders or agreements; monitor orders and shipments.
• Review sales agreements monthly to monitor inventory levels and alert when expiration or quantity limits are near.
• Maintain an active sales agreement summary and provide quarterly updates to the Sales Manager.
• Support Account Managers with large accounts by entering forecasts in ERP and communicating SOM and net requirements to the parent company; identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Manage a portfolio of established Hamamatsu Corporation accounts focused on order and inventory management.
• Develop cross-functional SOPs, maintain QMS documentation for sales agreements and train Sales Department staff; identify process barriers and implement solutions.
• Build and maintain working knowledge of photonics technologies and their applications.
