Job summary

The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is seeking an Inpatient Medicine Veterinary Technician III to provide advanced nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will mentor junior staff, assist clinicians with procedures, and participate in teaching and hospital initiatives while ensuring high-quality patient care and education for students and residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified veterinary technician in a university hospital or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care including monitoring, treatment, and diagnostic testing.
• Teach veterinary students and technicians, training new staff, and mentoring junior team members.
• Assist clinicians with procedures and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment and ensure sterilization and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients and educate on discharge instructions.
