Qualifications

• Associate degree with 5+ years inpatient coding experience and CCS certification
• 8+ years of facility inpatient coding experience with CCS certification
• 10+ years of facility inpatient coding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assigns and sequences ICD-10CM-PCS diagnostic and procedural codes for designated service lines.
• Uses MS-DRG and NYS APR DRG logic to reflect diagnoses and procedures.
• Reviews records and documentation to ensure accurate abstracting and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA and privacy standards.
