Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience in coding with four years inpatient facility coding.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Candidate must have one of: RHIT, Coding Specialist, RHIA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in medical record review and coding for diagnoses, procedures, and services; validate CAC assignments.
• Research coding issues using Code Clinic and CPT Assistant; communicate findings to supervisors.
• Participate in national/regional coding education sessions and maintain CMS coding compliance.
