Job summary
Amazon’s World Wide Design Engineering transportation team is seeking an Innovation and Design Engineer to help design and optimize large-scale logistics facilities. You will work with world-class engineers on high-performance systems, with ownership and fast-paced problem solving in a global environment.
The role emphasizes technical leadership across project lifecycles, collaboration with vendors, and delivering innovative solutions for transportation networks and distribution centers
Qualifications
- Experience leading engineering design projects.
- 3+ years in Design/Innovation, R&D, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any domain) or related field.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and translate customer needs into robust facility designs for Operations.
- Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions for material flow and human/machine efficiency across the global supply chain.
- Lead design and innovation efforts for transportation networks including equipment, site layout and process design.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective solutions quickly.
- Manage multiple projects and communicate with partners and vendors to influence decisions.
- Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects.
