DEMGY Pacific in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Senior Process Engineer specialized in injection molding. You will own and optimize molding processes, diagnose cosmetic and dimensional issues, and drive robust, repeatable parameters from problem to solution.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on injection molding processing and troubleshooting capability.
• Knowledge of engineered resins and material properties.
• Understanding of molds, tooling, auxiliary equipment, automation, and molding systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to translate technical information into practical solutions.
• A disciplined approach to safety, documentation, accuracy, and quality.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while building strong one-to-one working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize injection molding processes for new and existing programs.
• Troubleshoot molding conditions and identify root causes of cosmetic, dimensional, and structural issues.
• Conduct DOE/window studies and establish robust, repeatable processing parameters.
• Apply scientific injection molding principles to improve consistency, quality, and performance.
• Advise on tooling, fixtures, equipment, automation, materials, and process improvements.
• Interpret engineering drawings and identify potential risks affecting scrap, labor, quality, and part cost.
• Develop and maintain controlled process documentation and procedures.
• Lead targeted 5S and Lean manufacturing improvements.
• Partner directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams as the injection molding technical expert.
• Train and develop molding-floor employees on equipment and injection molding processes.
