Moldtronics, Inc. in Downers Grove, IL seeks a skilled mold maker to own the build and repair of plastic injection molds from CAD data and blueprints.

You’ll read engineering instructions, set up tools, and ensure precision finishes using CNC mills, EDMs, and surface grinders. Join a team that collaborates with engineering to solve tolerance stack-ups, verify dimensions with precision gauges, and document improvements to boost throughput and repeatability for the next run.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on injection mold making and/or mold repair experience.
• Fluency reading mold designs, blueprints, CAD models, tolerances, and engineering specifications.
• Experience with mills, lathes, surface grinders, and standard Tool Room equipment.

Responsabilités

• Own the build and repair of plastic injection molds using CAD data, blueprints, and engineering instructions.
• Run advanced equipment: CNC mills, EDMs, surface grinders, and mold-related machinery.
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs with Mastercam.
• Read and interpret drawings, CAD models, and GD&T with accuracy.
• Diagnose tooling and part-quality issues with engineering/production and implement corrective actions.
• Document improvements to boost repeatability and throughput for future runs.
