OTTO Engineering, Inc in Carpentersville, IL seeks a Senior Injection Mold Maker to fabricate and repair injection molding tooling from blueprints or CAD models, ensuring high-quality, durable molds for production.

The role requires completion of the OTTO apprenticeship or 5–10 years of mold-making experience, CAD proficiency, CNC/EDM capability, and the ability to lift 50 lbs; overtime may be needed to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Complete OTTO apprenticeship, or 5 to 10 years’ experience with Mold making/repair.
• Knowledgeable of injection molding tool design.
• Proficient with the use of CAD.
• Able to run CNC & EDM machines.
• Knowledgeable in the use of Surface Grinders and Mills.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Sound inspection skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50Lbs.
• Must be available for overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate tooling for injection molding.
• Repair and modify molds from blueprints or CAD models.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and tools.
• Assist in mold preventative maintenance.
• Support manufacturability of part designs.
