Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an Advanced Pharmacy Technician to support cancer infusion operations. You will manage medication handling, ensure compliance with USP standards and TSBP rules, and coordinate purchasing and inventory for timely drug delivery.

Responsibilities include supervising workflow, training staff, and maintaining accurate records across sterile compounding, hazardous drug handling, and investigational drug services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, and 4 years in area of advanced pharmacy technician concentration.
• Licenses and Certifications listed (TSBP registration or Pharmacist intern, sterile compounding, BLS) as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced pharmacy technician duties across concentration areas.
• Coordinates daily workflow and provides leadership to other technicians.
• Audits and signs out controlled substances per guidelines; addresses discrepancies.
• Operates and troubleshoots specialty equipment and inventory systems.
• Delivers medications efficiently and supports regional site purchasing when needed.
