Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy department for home care patients. The role ensures safe and appropriate pharmacy services, coordinates with nursing and reimbursement teams, and manages budgeting and purchasing.

The manager mentors staff and ensures compliance with policies and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates have a PharmD, active license, and 5–7 years in infusion pharma or 3 years with residency/MTM.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current, active Pharmacy license as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a clean room or infusion pharmacy setting OR 3 years of experience with ASHP residency/MTM or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring and development.
• At least 2 years of experience planning and managing departmental budgets or ASHP residency/ equivalent experience.
• Experience with compounding sterile products and managing patient care.
• Access to reliable transportation to make home visits.

Responsibilities

• Determines suitability of patients for home care.
• Supervises, monitors and evaluates the quality and effectiveness of patient care provided by pharmacy staff.
• Directs the activities of the pharmacy department and schedules staff.
• Develops and mentors staff through onboarding and performance management processes.
• Oversees purchasing, inventory, budget and equipment management.
• Assists the General Manager with budgeting and operating guidelines.
• Evaluates and oversees purchase, management and security of medications and supplies.
• Coordinates on-call responsibilities and ensures reliable coverage.
• Manages investigational drug products per regulations and policies.
