Job summary

Infinite Computer Solutions is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Technical Writer to ensure accurate, concise documentation for enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms. You will produce internal support docs, diagrams, and infrastructure guides for both HTML knowledge articles and MS Word references.

You will collaborate with Windows, Unix, and Cloud engineers, host Teams sessions, and contribute to a centralized documentation team with peer reviews and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree, preferably in Computer Science or English.
• Ten years minimum experience producing technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure server farms, network protocols, firewall security, monitoring, WAN/LAN configurations.
• Strong Visio diagramming skills/experience.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Experience running Teams meetings and hosting sessions.
• Familiarity with documentation standards and processes; ability to collaborate with a documentation team.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze requirements for new infrastructure environment builds.
• Create and maintain complex Visio flow diagrams illustrating traffic patterns and components.
• Collaborate with project managers to map out documentation strategies and schedules.
• Gather build information from distributed engineers for documentation deliverables.
• Author and publish documentation in HTML Knowledge Base and MS Word formats.
• Host virtual documentation turnover sessions using Microsoft Teams.
• Participate in peer reviews and share best practices within the team.
