Job summary

NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORP in Rochester, NY seeks a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to define, maintain, and support OSG infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures. You will work with internal teams and vendors to ensure secure, resilient operations of OSG applications and facilities.

Responsibilities include incident response, change planning, and mentoring staff, with on-call coverage and strong collaboration across groups to meet regulatory and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with networking, routing protocols, and firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
• Experience with SDN and load balancing (certifications preferred).
• Virtual Switching with Cisco Nexus technology is a plus.
• Extensive experience with packet capturing software (4+ years).

Responsibilities

• Provide timely responses to incidents, tasks and requests to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers/contractors, project teams and tech staff to design and support solutions.
• Design, plan and implement environment changes for projects.
• Maintain infrastructure technologies following change management processes.
• Lead technical implementation plans for infrastructure technologies.
• Lead evaluation, selection, and testing of hardware/software products.
• Maintain regulatory compliance under NERC/CIP guidelines.
• Maintain high security controls around critical SCADA systems.
• Coordinate special assignments from OSG Infrastructure Management.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support.
• Mentor team members professionally and technically.
