Job summary

Avangrid in the United States is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to maintain and support OSG network infrastructure, policies, standards, and projects. You will work with technical teams, project managers, and external vendors to deliver operational support for enterprise services.

Responsibilities include incident response, designing and implementing changes, maintaining regulatory compliance under NERC/CIP, and ensuring strong security controls around SCADA.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience working with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in Data Center Operations, Disaster Recover/Business Continuity, Security & Compliance, UNIX/Linux and Windows OS, VMware, Citrix.
• BS/BA Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related technical discipline; additional certifications may substitute for degree.
• Ability to collaborate with customers, co-workers and managers, and work both in a team and independently.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely responses to all incidents, tasks and requests to meet SLAs.
• Work with clients, suppliers, project teams and staff to design and support technical solutions.
• Plan and implement changes to the environment for improvements or projects.
• Maintain and support network equipment in OSG.
• Develop technical implementation plans for infrastructure technologies.
• Evaluate, select, and test hardware and software products.
• Maintain regulatory compliance under NERC/CIP guidelines.
• Maintain high-quality security controls around SCADA systems.
• Coordinate special assignments from OSG Infrastructure Management.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support including possible visits to substations.
