Job summary

NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORP in Rochester, NY seeks a Lead Network Security Specialist Infrastructure to lead security solutions for enterprise networks and critical infrastructure. You will translate business needs into secure designs, oversee installation, maintenance, and administration of security technologies, and guide project teams.

Responsibilities include incident response, collaboration with internal clients and vendors, and 24x7 on-call support.

Qualifications

• AS/BS/MS in a technical field with extensive experience as described in the posting.
• Ten years of experience with enterprise infrastructure and security operations.
• Experience configuring Cisco routers/switches/firewalls (Nexus 9K, Catalyst, ASR, 4K).
• Experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls and VPN implementations.
• Familiarity with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• NERC/CIP compliance knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and requests to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and project teams to design secure network solutions.
• Plan and implement environment changes for improvements or new projects.
• Maintain security controls for critical SCADA environments.
• Coordinate 24x7 on-call support as needed.
• Mentor team members and lead projects to completion.
