Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) is seeking a senior infrastructure professional to manage the LAMP stack, OS patches, and system monitoring in a federal environment.

You will coordinate changes, install deployments, and ensure outages are resolved promptly to meet performance targets. Responsibilities include DBA support, backups, and compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA standards, with hybrid work options available and a strong emphasis on documentation and cross-team

Qualifications

• Five or more years of infrastructure support experience in a federal IT environment.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with open-source LAMP stack.

Responsibilities

• Configuration management of server and network infrastructure and software stack components.
• Coordinate changes to server, network, and software elements with other teams.
• Install and configure deployments with the development team.
• Resolve trouble reports and outages.
• Ensure production components meet performance requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date production support documentation.
• Test and implement upgrades and new versions, including service packs.
• Complete post-production checklists.
• Support OS installation, patching, and compliance reporting.
• Perform configuration and patching where needed.
• Support logging and system monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Zabbix).
• Coordinate backups and recovery operations.
• Provide DBA support – installation, configuration, patching, reporting.
• Support FedRAMP and related security compliance activities.
• Work with partners and subcontractors as directed by the government client.
• Document status on tasks daily.
