Job summary

City of Somerville seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead major infrastructure projects driven by utility upgrades and streetscape work. You will coordinate design and construction, manage scope, schedule, budget, and compliance while guiding consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities include engaging stakeholders, forecasting costs, and reporting to senior leadership. A MA PE license and relevant certifications are preferred, with flexible hours for evening meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Massachusetts PE license required; Class D license valid.
• Preferred MCPPO or PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design and construction of large infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with city departments, consultants and contractors.
• Manage budgets, schedules and regulatory compliance.
