Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a strategic infrastructure leader to drive platform strategy for mission-critical systems, ensuring availability, resiliency, and security across HP NonStop, Stratus, and related environments.

You will guide modernization, capacity planning, and governance while leading engineering teams and coordinating across IT and business stakeholders to deliver reliable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, engineering, computer science, mathematics, any science, or equivalent work experience.
• 10 or more years of experience delivering software-based solutions for mission-critical enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Expertise in HP NonStop (Tandem), Stratus Platforms, PSeries/AIX, IBM Z, or highly resilient Linux/x86 architectures.
• Strategic infrastructure leadership with ability to define roadmaps and modernization aligned to business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for HP NonStop (Tandem) and Stratus platforms.
• Lead production operations, incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis.
• Oversee infrastructure lifecycle programs, hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, and capacity expansions.
• Present platform health metrics and investment recommendations to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and reliability engineering practices.
