Job summary

Headway is seeking a senior Infrastructure Engineer to architect and own the cloud platform used by every engineer. You will drive deployment isolation, autoscaling, and a self-serve infrastructure layer across ECS/EKS and AWS.

You will lead Terraform-based tooling, cost attribution, and ongoing health of the Python monolith, ensuring safe, scalable deployments and cross-team collaboration in a fast-growing healthcare tech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform, infra, or SRE roles with prod traffic.
• Deep AWS experience and ownership of compute and networking at scale.
• Hands-on IaC experience with Terraform and self-serve platforms.
• Autoscaling and capacity engineering with ECS/EKS.
• Deploys made safe and self-serve for other teams.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment architecture and blast-radius containment.
• Manage ECS/EKS footprint and inter-service networking.
• Drive capacity planning and auto-scaling based on data.
• Build Terraform self-serve platform with guardrails.
• Implement cloud cost attribution across AWS and tools.
• Maintain Python runtime and dependency health for the monolith.
