Job summary

Martell Services Group is seeking an Estimator to develop complete system estimates and manage the estimating process from start to finish. You will prepare take-offs, obtain quotes, and work with project teams to ensure accurate, timely bid submissions.

The role emphasizes strong communication, proficiency with estimating tools, and the ability to interpret cost data and blueprints. Collaboration with Project Managers and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction estimating and related work experience.
• Ability to interpret computerized cost data and system information.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project estimates by developing quantity take-offs, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
• Obtain quotes from material suppliers, equipment vendors, and subcontractors.
• Develop labor factors based on site conditions and historical performance data.
• Review contracts and input estimating information from various sources.
• Lead bid processes, pricing sheets, and proposal documents.
• Attend bid meetings and kickoff meetings with project stakeholders.
• Work with Project Managers to develop preliminary plans and equipment selection.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and contingencies.
