Qualifications

• Advanced coding in multiple languages and high-quality software design.
• Experience building large-scale, multi-threaded backend systems.
• Familiarity with OS internals, filesystems, networks, and compilers is a plus.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and own long-term projects.

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure capable of managing metadata for hundreds of billions of files, handling hundreds of petabytes of user data, and facilitating millions of concurrent connections.
• Lead the expansion of Dropbox's function as the data-fabric, connecting hundreds of millions of applications, devices, and services globally.
• Measure and optimize analytics platforms to extract insights from vast data volumes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance, reliability, and security of infrastructure.
• Proactively identify opportunities and drive improvements across projects.
