Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the Corporate Sector – Enterprise Network team. The role focuses on applying strong software and infrastructure engineering knowledge to data systems at scale, with end-to-end monitoring and problem-solving across multiple applications.

The candidate will lead capacity planning, coordinate with application and infra teams, and drive critical decisions across multiple technologies and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• 5+ years of full stack network design and deployment (focusing on Arista switches).
• Experience with broadcast network architecture, including SMPTE ST 2110 standards and IP-based media workflows.
• Operating knowledge of two or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as software defined networks / zero touch provisioning, SD-WAN, fabric switching, Wi-Fi, and network security technologies and practices.
• Proficient in Python, Ansible, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
• Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
• Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
• Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
• Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
• Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
• Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
