Job summary

SearchApi is hiring a senior infrastructure engineer to own the entire cloud stack. You will build and operate systems handling billions of requests, improve observability, and expand the infrastructure as we scale.

This role demands deep AWS production experience, Terraform fluency, and strong Linux/Docker expertise. You’ll mentor others, own the stack end‑to‑end, and work in a remote, fast‑moving SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Deep production experience with AWS infrastructure and ECS/EKS/Fargate.
• Expertise with Terraform and IaC principles.
• Strong Linux, Docker, and container orchestration skills.
• Experience running headless browser workloads at scale (Playwright/Puppeteer).
• Solid networking knowledge: TCP, websockets, load balancing, multi‑region.
• Built observability stacks used by engineers (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Comfort debugging memory leaks and complex container issues.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• BSc or higher in CS or equivalent field.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve observability across the entire stack: metrics, logging, alerting, dashboards.
• Architect and operate browser cloud infrastructure with autoscaling and session isolation.
• Manage websocket connections, CDP tunnels, and TCP tuning for browser automation.
• Write and maintain Terraform for all infrastructure as code.
• Tune autoscaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Expand to new regions as we grow and explore new clouds.
• Experiment with Lambdas or serverless for specific scraping workloads.
• Debug production issues including memory leaks and network failures.
• Build disaster recovery runbooks and incident response processes.
• Work daily with Linux, Dockerfiles, and container orchestration.
