Job summary

Flexion Robotics is seeking a senior Software Engineer for its experienced infrastructure team in San Francisco. You will build platforms, tooling and infrastructure powering Flexion's AI stack, overseeing projects from inception to rollout and long-term ownership.

You will collaborate with research, robotics and deployment teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems. The role emphasizes ownership, architectural decisions, and hands-on work with Python and compiled languages, as well as modern

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).

Responsibilities

• Build out Flexion's tooling and platforms for a fast-growing number of robots and real-world deployments.
• Lead projects end-to-end, from scoping and technical design through implementation, rollout, and long-term ownership.
• Shape technical direction and architecture decisions across teams through design reviews and code reviews.
• Partner with research, robotics, and deployment teams to understand their needs and translate them into reliable platforms and tools.
• Raise the bar on engineering practices, including testing, code quality, documentation, and system reliability.
• Help define and spread AI-assisted development practices across the company and contribute to Flexion's AI development tooling.
