Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure) to design and scale core infrastructure powering an AI-native platform. You will own backend code, clouds, and distributed systems across Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud providers, partnering with a small high-skill team to implement robust architecture and observability.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, production-ready systems, and collaboration with platform and product teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of professional software engineering experience, backend and core infrastructure.
• Experience in AI-native startup infrastructure is essential.
• Hands-on production app development with backend focus preferred.
• Ownership of infra components like VMs, queues, containers, and clouds.
• Strong backend design, deployment, and maintenance capabilities.
• IaC experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms expertise.
• Deep Linux, networking, storage, and runtime debugging knowledge.
• Experience designing APIs and reusable backend abstractions.
• Strong scalability, reliability, and production ops focus.
• Familiarity with AI-driven products and fast-paced startups.
• Excellent English communication and ownership attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain code managing persistent, customer-specific cloud environments.
• Own VM lifecycle, container updates, background jobs, queues, observability, and security.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and infrastructure abstractions for engineers.
• Design distributed systems with messaging queues, distributed locks, and service buses.
• Scale infra from hundreds to thousands of customer environments with high availability.
• Build Infrastructure-as-Code patterns using Pulumi or equivalent tooling.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, Linux, networking, and storage.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across app and infra layers; improve bottlenecks.
• Establish monitoring, observability, and security across customer environments.
• Collaborate with platform/product teams to define architecture and standards.
• Take end-to-end ownership from architecture to deployment and production debugging.
