Job summary

Traversal is hiring a senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and operate core systems powering our AI products. You will manage Terraform-defined infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, and multi-tenant workloads across AWS, with a focus on reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance.

• 7+ years of experience at technically rigorous companies or teams.

Responsibilities

• System Design & Architecture: Design scalable, reliable infrastructure for AI workloads and data pipelines.
• CI/CD: Build and deliver developer tooling for the engineering team.
• Autoscaling: Scale on signals, add burst capacity and safe drains.
• Infrastructure as Code: Evolve Terraform+Helm for multi-environment deployments and workload identity.
• Observability: End-to-end visibility into infrastructure and applications.
• Security: Improve security posture with least privilege, JIT access, and policy-as-code.
