Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Premier, Inc. is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

1. Provide hands-on support for systems, data center operations, production support, and escalation teams.
2. Offer 24-hour on-call support for problem analysis and resolution on a rotational basis.
3. Respond to inquiries via phone or email, resolve issues, and provide information to callers.
4. Review, implement, and test availability strategies to meet business and service uptime requirements.
5. Establish standards, document infrastructure change procedures, and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
6. Develop and maintain as-built documentation, network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
7. Collaborate with Development Iteration Teams in an agile environment, participating in stand-ups, product meetings, and sprint tasks.
8. Lead technical deployment for new system initiatives, from business requirements to deployment.
9. Attend vendor conferences and observe system software demonstrations.
10. Maintain and update IT disaster recovery plans, perform recovery testing, and ensure procedures are current.

Remote work (telecommuting) is permitted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in related roles, including:
• Provisioning access to storage containing PHI in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Managing patching for RedHat Linux devices using Satellite, ensuring minimal downtime and SLA compliance.
• Developing high-level architecture and visual diagrams of storage infrastructure.
• Building and deploying technical storage hardware and infrastructure according to industry standards.
• Implementing firmware and patch updates, including vulnerability management on legacy systems.

Must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S. and be available for 40 hours/week.
