Job summary

Atom Computing is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Boulder, CO to strengthen our infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. This role will improve our software development workflows and ensure reliable operation of the quantum computer system.

The candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and physicists and must be available to be in the Boulder office at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Enhance software development workflows and tooling.
• Maintain and monitor the critical infrastructure powering the quantum computer.

In this role, you’ll work across the entire stack, enabling engineers and physicists to seamlessly deploy software and operate the system with reliability and efficiency. Our environment combines both on-premises and cloud infrastructure, requiring innovative approaches to managing and scaling each. You'll collaborate closely with a talented, tight-knit team of engineers and physicists, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager. Due to the mix of on-prem and cloud infrastructure, this role is required to be in the office in Boulder at least 3 days per week.
