Job summary

Atom Computing seeks a Platform Engineer in Boulder to build and operate the systems that power our quantum computing software and research workflows. You will implement infrastructure for our on-prem lab environments and cloud platforms, working with software, hardware, and control systems teams in a collaborative setting.

In this role you will design infrastructure, participate in incident response, and help shape developer tools and compute infrastructure for our next-generation quantum

Qualifications

• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science.
• Experience as an infrastructure/platform/systems engineer.
• Interest in infrastructure engineering and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure supporting quantum control systems including GPU compute, networking, and storage.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, and system observability mechanisms.
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive incident response, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Participate in designs related to developer tools and compute infrastructure.
