Job summary

Walmart Global Tech seeks a Senior Manager of Systems and Infrastructure Engineering to lead design, maintenance, and optimization of critical IT infrastructure worldwide. You’ll guide technical teams, drive automation, and oversee cloud migration with a focus on security, reliability, and efficiency.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performing systems that support Walmart’s technology strategy and business success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area (Option 1)
• 7 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization (Option 2)
• 2 years’ supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure maintenance including backups, patching, and audits for compliance and performance.
• Drive automation by analyzing metrics and implementing scripting solutions.
• Oversee configuration and version control to ensure deployment integrity.
• Support cloud migration efforts including data center consolidation and hybrid environments.
• Develop scalable, secure infrastructure designs aligned with security and disaster recovery standards.
• Manage capacity planning to optimize resources for evolving business demands.
• Collaborate on integration management for middleware and API connectivity.
