Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III, Information Security to design, secure, and automate scalable infrastructure aligned with business needs. The role focuses on modular architectures, automation, and risk-driven security controls across enterprise systems.

You will contribute to PKI modernization, HSM management, and certificate lifecycle efforts while collaborating with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure high availability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area.
• 2+ years of experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
• Or 4 years of experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and security standards.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and maintenance using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Conduct risk and compliance assessments to support system security plans and disaster recovery strategies.
• Perform routine infrastructure maintenance, including backups, patch management, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate on requirement analysis, user story creation, and capacity planning to ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate complexity issues, providing feasible solutions and escalation when necessary.
• Maintain documentation of system designs, configurations, and code revisions adhering to coding and security guidelines.
