Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure enterprise infrastructure. You will drive technology roadmaps, identify emerging technologies, and adapt AI for infrastructure and cloud.

You will lead cross-functional efforts across IT, Security, and the Business to ensure compliant, cost-efficient, and high-availability systems, including automation and modern data centers.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 8 years in IT Engineering or related field.
• Expert knowledge of IT technologies, protocols, and architecture.
• Extensive enterprise infrastructure experience: compute, storage, backup, and hybrid cloud (Azure/AWS).
• Automation and IaC: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python; security and governance (IAM, NIST, CIS).
• Experience with virtualization and end-user computing environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, secure IT infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments with end-to-end roadmaps.
• Lead implementation of long-term IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
• Provide clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Serve as SME on cross-organizational IT, Security, and Business projects to ensure proper integration and operations.
