Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to design technology solutions across complex initiatives. The role partners with business and tech teams to develop architectures, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment with standards, security, and strategy.

The ideal candidate will lead architectural guidance across cloud, data, APIs, and integration domains, mentor engineers, and influence SDLC decisions within a Hybrid Flex environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree required where appropriate
• 5+ years of experience in related field; in lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience
• Ability to mentor engineers and provide SDLC guidance to stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop solution architectures, roadmaps, and designs that align with enterprise standards and objectives
• Serve as a senior architect for complex initiatives with stakeholders and delivery teams
• Design scalable data architectures supporting governance, analytics, and security
• Develop solutions across cloud platforms, data and analytics, integrations, APIs, event-driven architectures, databases, and app development
• Apply architecture standards, design patterns, governance, and security requirements
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead proofs of concept to modernize technology
• Identify risks and gaps while ensuring performance, reliability, and security
• Provide architecture guidance throughout the SDLC and mentor engineers
