Job summary

MMD Services Inc. is seeking a Sr. Server Engineer to lead enterprise on-prem infrastructure, focused on VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, and automation. The role sits onsite in our downtown office with a hybrid schedule and an on-call rotation every eight weeks.

You will own large Windows and Linux environments, build automation with Ansible and PowerShell, manage Active Directory and networking services, and help modernize platform operations for a global organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering overall.
• Deep hands-on VMware vSphere/ESXi expertise and troubleshooting.
• Solid Windows Server 2016+ and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) fundamentals required.
• Working knowledge of DRS, HA, switch configurations, and vMotion in production.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Red Hat container tech.
• Hands-on Ansible playbooks development, not just execution.
• Strong AD fundamentals across DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Certificate Services.
• PowerShell scripting and familiarity with enterprise monitoring (SCOM, Zabbix, SCCM).

Responsibilities

• Own a sprawling VMware vSphere/ESXi platform; troubleshoot host failures, DRS/HA events, and switch configs.
• Support Kubernetes, Docker, and Red Hat container platforms powering AI workloads in production.
• Maintain Windows and Linux environments with relevant admin tasks and command-line work.
• Build automation with Ansible and PowerShell to reduce toil.
• Manage identity and network services across a multi-region environment.
• Maintain security and visibility through patching and enterprise tooling.
• Support Azure IaaS operations as a complement to on-prem workloads.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours maintenance windows due to global uptime needs.
