Job summary

Feanix Biotechnologies is building a cutting-edge farm-automation platform for dairy genetics, with Autopilot handling decisions from data to herd level. This role leads the infrastructure team, focusing on CI, release engineering, observability, and infrastructure as code to ship safe, fast changes to production overnight.

You’ll work on AWS, OpenTofu/Terraform, GitHub Actions, and a Windows-oriented pipeline while enabling engineers to move quickly and safely at scale across farms.

Qualifications

• Strong OpenTofu or Terraform and real AWS depth.
• Test and release engineering: CI design, test environments with real databases, staged rollouts, and regression testing of pipeline outputs.
• Operational judgment — alerting that pages on the right thing, service objectives that reflect what a customer actually experiences.
• Comfort with heterogeneous compute, without needing to unify it.
• Strong Python; GitHub Actions and OIDC.
• Security fundamentals and proportional application at this stage.
• Daily, load-bearing use of coding agents, and a real position on where they break down.

Responsibilities

• Roughly half this role is CI, test and release engineering; a quarter is observability; a quarter is access control, cost, and consolidating our infrastructure as code.
• Alerting and service-level objectives for the farm pipeline.
• The release path with staging on every commit and quick feedback for engineers.
• Infrastructure as code end-to-end and cost management per herd.
• Test infrastructure for third-party herd software and data movement to farms.
