Job summary

Solipsys, Fulton, MD, seeks an Infrastructure Administrator – On-Prem & Cloud to join our Software Engineering team onsite. You will build and support CI/CD pipelines, administer Windows and Linux systems, and manage virtualized environments across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid deployments.

The role requires a STEM degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience, proficiency with GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms, and the ability to obtain a U.S. secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Hands-on GitLab admin and CI/CD integration.
• Kubernetes and Docker administration experience.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification or eligible.
• AWS Professional cloud certifications.
• Terraform, Ansible, Python for IaC.
• Understanding of NIST/CIS/STIG security controls.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for enterprise services.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers across bare‑metal, virtual, or cloud environments.
• Manage virtualized environments: VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, Proxmox.
• Document configurations and hardening per CIS/NIST.
• Assist in deploying and maintaining security technologies across the enterprise.
• Collaborate to design IT solutions within enterprise security policies.
• Stay current with technology trends.
