Job summary

VGS is building the platform powering agentic commerce and global payments infrastructure. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on the Platform Engineering team, you will build, scale, and fortify cloud infrastructure designed to handle mission-critical, high-throughput payments applications with zero downtime.

You will own core platform components powering our payment systems, collaborate across product, security, and core engineering, and drive automation, observability, and reliability to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in AWS and Terraform for reproducible environments.
• Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and GitOps workflows (Flux, Argo, GitHub Actions).
• Python, Go, or Bash for infrastructure automation and tooling.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and fortify global cloud infrastructure for mission-critical payments applications.
• Own core platform components powering payment systems.
• Uphold reliability standards and multi-region AWS operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Core Engineering to adopt scalable workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve engineering velocity through automation.
