Job summary

VGS in the United States seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (IC6) to lead Platform Engineering, architecting global cloud infrastructure for mission-critical, high-throughput payments applications with zero downtime.

You will own core foundations across a multi-region AWS environment, drive technical strategy, and enforce reliability standards while partnering with Product, Security, and Core Engineering teams to move fast with alignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience taking ownership of outcomes in large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS ecosystems and IaC tooling.
• Hands-on containerization with Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps workflows.
• Strong automation and scripting capabilities in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Deep observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Solid understanding of cloud security and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-region, high-availability AWS infrastructure and codified environments.
• Drive resiliency, automation, and self-healing capabilities.
• Build end-to-end telemetry and proactive incident management.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Security, and Core Engineering.
• Architect and operate high-performance, low-latency connectivity for external customers.
