Job summary

Gyde is assembling an AI-native insurance brokerage platform. You will own the infrastructure that runs Gyde’s AI-native brokerage, ensuring security, auditable operations, and scalable tenancy as the platform grows.

You sit on the Infrastructure team, reporting to Head of Infrastructure. The role blends infrastructure and application engineering, touching EKS, AWS, Pulumi, and the shared monorepo to deliver reliable, compliant software at scale.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps engineering with meaningful production ownership.
• Production Kubernetes experience (EKS) and strong AWS fundamentals.
• Infrastructure as code in a real codebase (Pulumi preferred; Terraform/CDK acceptable).
• Production TypeScript/Node in a shared monorepo with durable workflows and migrations.
• Experience operating in HIPAA, SOC 2, or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the chain from problem to running control—design, build, and instrument fixes across infra and app to prove it works.
• Build in the monorepo: production TypeScript, Temporal workflows, migrations, and shared packages.
• Run the cloud platform: EKS, Pulumi, CI/CD, secrets, workload identity, observability, and alerting.
• Evaluate and integrate vendor systems; read permissions and plan tiers to know what is enforced.
• Make security, compliance, and cost a design input with auditable trails and clear ownership.
