Job summary

Gynger is building an AI-native infrastructure for tech financing in NYC. This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on architecting agentic systems across underwriting, risk monitoring, collections, and payments.

You will design scalable APIs, data models, and AI-enabled workflows, while shaping development practices and engineering standards. You will work across the stack, from backend services to AI-assisted tooling, contributing to product decisions and maintaining high-quality production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript (React frontend, Node.js backend).
• Backend-focused with scalable APIs, databases and system architecture.
• Experience releasing and operating cloud-based apps (GCP or AWS).
• Hands-on fluency with AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Design and build production systems, scalable backend services, and data models.
• Take full-stack features from concept to deployment.
• Develop AI agent-powered workflows for credit risk operations.
• Use AI tooling as a normal part of development.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, and PMs.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Help evolve engineering practices and standards.
