Job summary

AAA Washington is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Cloud, Applications, Data, and Security teams to strengthen controls, investigate events, and remediate vulnerabilities. The role emphasizes cross‑team collaboration and driving security posture improvements across on‑premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in information security, strong experience with SIEM/EDR, and a track record of implementing enterprise security controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in information security, security engineering, or related field.
• Experience implementing and operating enterprise security technologies.
• Strong understanding of network, endpoint, identity, cloud, and infrastructure security.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across on-premises, cloud, endpoint, network, and identity environments.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate events, and participate in incident response activities.
• Develop and improve detection rules, alerting, and monitoring capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering to embed security into projects.
• Mentor junior security engineers and communicate risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
