Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking a senior information security leader to plan, design, and build security architectures across the enterprise in the California Bay Area. You will oversee network and system security, implement firewalls and IDS/IPS, and ensure policy compliance while monitoring LAN/WAN/VPN environments.

The role demands extensive experience in security assessments, incident response, and forensics, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and building security architectures for complex networks and systems.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPNs, routers, and firewalls, plus incident response and forensics.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and build of security architectures across the enterprise.
• Oversee implementation of network and computer security and ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor cybersecurity requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs and related devices.
• Perform security assessments, penetration testing and risk analysis.
• Configure and install firewalls and intrusion detection systems; apply patches.
• Respond to cybersecurity incidents and perform post-event analysis.
• Investigate intrusions and conduct forensic investigations.
• Administer security controls and countermeasures against external threats.
