Job summary

Lam Research in California is seeking an Information Security Engineer to support the engineering, implementation, and ongoing operation of enterprise security platforms, ensuring tools are deployed, configured, and aligned with security standards.

You will collaborate with Security Operations, Infrastructure, and IT teams to strengthen detection, prevention, and response capabilities, document processes, and drive improvements across endpoint, identity, cloud, and network security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Cybersecurity with 8+ years related experience.
• 2-4 years in an information security or IT engineering role.
• Experience supporting or operating enterprise security tools.
• Security-focused certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM preferred.
• Foundational experience in Information Security Engineering and security tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management of assigned security tools and platforms. Silverfort experience is preferred.
• Maintain and optimize tool configurations in alignment with security standards and industry best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of detection, prevention, and response capabilities.
• Assist in identifying and remediating configuration gaps, coverage issues, and security findings.
• Participate in security reviews and provide input on architecture and design decisions.
• Support the development of operational metrics and reporting to track tool effectiveness and security posture.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., SOC, IT, Cloud, and Infrastructure) to drive alignment and integration.
• Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
