Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an Information Security Engineer to support engineering, implementation, and ongoing operation of enterprise security platforms, including Silverfort. You will work with cross-functional teams to strengthen detection, prevention, and response capabilities while maintaining configurations per security standards.

The role focuses on improving security posture, remediation of findings, and contributing to architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity, with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or 6 years of related experience with a Master’s degree; or 3 years of related experience with a PhD; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in an Information Security or IT engineering role.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management practices and remediation workflows.
• Experience supporting or operating enterprise security tools.
• Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM preferred.
• Foundational experience in Information Security Engineering and security tools/platforms.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security, identity security, network security, cloud security, DLP, CSPM, or related domains.
• Experience with security tools: Microsoft Defender for Identity, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Purview, Netskope, Palo Alto, Imperva, Intune, Perception Point (FortiMail), or Security Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management of assigned security tools and platforms. Silverfort experience is preferred.
• Maintain and optimize tool configurations in alignment with security standards and industry best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of detection, prevention, and response capabilities.
• Assist in identifying and remediating configuration gaps, coverage issues, and security findings.
• Participate in security reviews and provide input on architecture and design decisions.
• Support the development of operational metrics and reporting to track tool effectiveness and security posture.
• Collaborate with internal teams (SOC, IT, Cloud, and Infrastructure) to drive alignment and integration.
• Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
