Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an Information Security Engineer to support enterprise security platforms and improve detection, prevention, and response capabilities. You will work with Security Operations, IT, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to ensure tools are configured and deployed according to standards.

You will contribute to security reviews and document SOPs while maintaining a strong focus on incident response and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, with substantial relevant experience.
• 2-4 years in Information Security or IT Engineering roles.
• Foundational experience in Information Security Engineering and security tools/platforms.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint, identity, network, cloud security, DLP, EPM, or CSPM.
• Familiarity with security tools like MDI, MDE, Defender for Cloud, Purview, Netskope, Palo Alto, Imperva, Intune, FortiMail, or Security Copilot.
• Knowledge of IAM, access management, and core security principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support security tools lifecycle management and configurations.
• Maintain and optimize security tool configurations per standards.
• Improve detection, prevention, and response capabilities.
• Identify and remediate security gaps and findings.
• Participate in security reviews and design discussions.
• Develop operational metrics and reporting for tool effectiveness.
• Collaborate with SOC, IT, Cloud, and Infra teams for alignment.
• Document processes and SOPs.
