Freeport-McMoRan Inc. Morenci operations in Arizona is seeking an IT Supervisor to oversee planning, maintenance, and enhancement of site computer and wireless telecommunications systems under regional IS management.

The role leads local IS teams, drives safety and process improvements, coordinates with regional IS, and manages capital projects while ensuring cost control and reliable IT services on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field with five years of related IT experience
• Associate's degree or IT Certificate with seven years of related IT experience
• High School diploma or GED with nine years of related IT experience
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks and peripherals
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral
• Commitment to safety practices and ability to work in potentially stressful environments

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Shared Services IS and successful implementation of initiatives
• Assign, supervise, and review work of Supervisors for the local IS unit
• Conduct performance evaluations for IS staff
• Mentor PC Technicians and LAN Administrators in IT support roles
• Support SOX compliance by providing necessary IT documentation
• Interface with local customers on IS support issues and resolve escalated problems
• Coordinate with regional IS managers to ensure interoperability and standardization
• Lead enterprise-wide process improvements in IS best practices
• Communicate local IS issues to management and stakeholders
• Plan and manage local IS capital projects and budget tracking
• Maintain IS cost forecasts and reconcile actual spend against budget
