Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Morenci, AZ seeks an IS/IT supervisor to plan, maintain and enhance site computer and communications systems. You’ll monitor IS compliance, assist with SOX controls, and mentor local technicians while coordinating with regional IT to ensure standardized processes.

The role requires driving collaboration with site customers and enterprise management, with responsibilities across an on-site mining operation and office environment. A strong English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field; and four years of experience in a computer technology service delivery capacity.
• Associate's degree or IT Certificate and five years of related IT experience;
• High School diploma or GED and seven years of experience in a computer technology service delivery capacity

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organization, supervision, coordination and enhancement of site IT systems.
• Monitor and report performance related to local IS policy and Compliance Calendar requirements.
• Assist with SOX compliance documentation for control testing.
• Develop, train and mentor local IS support technicians and LAN Administrators.
• Interface with local customers on IS support or service issues.
• Coordinate with site coordinators and Regional IT Manager for interoperability and standardization.
• Communicate IS issues to regional/enterprise management and foster positive relationships.
