Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. is seeking an Information Security Engineer (SGL18) in Arkansas. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining security platforms that protect digital assets, with emphasis on SIEM, EDR, IAM, and CSPM, including cloud and on-prem environments.

The position requires hands-on depth, coding and automation abilities, and collaboration with security, IT, and engineering teams to implement secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information security, or related field.
• 5–10+ years of progressive experience in security engineering or systems engineering.
• Professional certifications preferred: CISSP, GCIH, OSCP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, or CKSS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate security platforms (SIEM, EDR, IAM, CSPM) in production environments.
• Develop automation, integrations, or tooling to reduce manual security work.
• Design ingestion, parsing, and enrichment for detection engineering and incident response.
• Build incident response tooling and automation to accelerate detection and response.
• Implement vulnerability scanning architecture and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Build CSPM integrations across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
