Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. in Arkansas seeks an Information Security Engineer (SGL18) to design, build, and maintain security platforms protecting digital assets and OT. Hybrid role in Fort Smith or Little Rock. You will own core security capabilities including SIEM, EDR, IAM, and CSPM, and build integrations to enable the security org.

The role requires hands-on depth, coding and automation ability, and the skill to communicate complex designs to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; master's preferred.
• 5–10+ years of progressive security/engineering experience.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate security platforms (SIEM, EDR, IAM, CSPM).
• Develop automation and tooling to reduce manual security work.
• Build data pipelines, ingestion, parsing, and enrichment for detection.
• Own SIEM logging and detection data pipelines for incident response.
• Implement vulnerability management within CI/CD pipelines.
• Hardening of cloud guardrails and IaC security controls across cloud platforms.
