Job summary

Summit Utilities is seeking an Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate security platforms, including SIEM, EDR, IAM, and CSPM. The role emphasizes automation, scalable security architecture, and collaboration with IT and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years of security engineering experience, hands-on coding skills, and familiarity with compliance frameworks, CSPM, and threat intel integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information security, or related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 5-10+ years of progressive security engineering or systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain security platforms (SIEM, EDR, IAM, CSPM) in production.
• Develop automation and tooling to reduce manual security work.
• Engineer cloud security guardrails and IAM workflows across cloud providers.
• Support audits with technical evidence and configuration exports.
